Copy of 1973: Suk-Buchbinder-Starker Trio, CD-Cover

1973

“Playing in a trio was an important foothold for me, not just as a child and a teenager. Even in later years I always enjoyed playing chamber music. That’s how friendships with violinists and cellists came about. A long-term, productive cooperation with Josef Suk, a great-grandson of Antonín Dvořák, and János Starker, developed. For instance, we three played Beethoven’s Triple Concerto all over the world. The violinist Nathan Milstein and the cellist Janos Starker became defining personalities in my life.”
